Methodology change-log

Every revision, dated and explained

Green Stars is versioned. Any change to weights, thresholds or safeguards is logged here with the date and the reasoning — so a historical score can always be recomputed under the methodology in force at the time.

  1. Methane metric reweighted from 0.10 to 0.15 following the IEA Global Methane Assessment 2026. The displaced weight was taken from the community-engagement axis.

  2. Initial methodology v1.0 published with full disclosure of all seven metric weights, scoring formula, and three safeguard overrides.

  3. Editorial standards and conflict-of-interest policy published. The Green List accepts no compensation from rated companies; sourcing is restricted to audited public disclosures.
